A calm morning on
a rising tide can see all manner of prime fish species patrol the sand
and mud flats feeding on the prawns, shrimps and bait fish, which are
eagerly trying to find shelter from the predators.
During good clear water
conditions, sight fishing to barramundi, various trevally species including
GT's and goldens, permit, queenfish and tarpon is possible. There
is nothing more exhilarating than the quiet stalking of quality fish,
presenting your offering in the right place to entice a crashing strike
and the fight is usually long and dogged as the hooked fish travel great
distances in its endeavor to rid itself of the hook.
