Fishing the islands, headlands, harbour entrance leads and the numerous submerged wrecks, structures and closer reefs offer spectacular light tackle sport fishing. Seasonal conditions to play a part with this exclusive charter and targets include the famous salt water barramundi from the rocks, mackerel and trevally from the leads and wrecks as well as prime GT's, fingermark, black jew and queenfish from the Kings Point area. Note: Catch and release is encouraged.

When conditions are right a trip to the inner Great Barrier Reef can again yield quality spaniards, monster GT's, various tunas, nannygai and even some medium sized bill fish - small marlin and sailfish to name a few.

The many Pacific game fish that inhabit these food rich waters offer spectacular sport on spinning or fly fishing outfits. Jigging locally made BumpaBar chrome slices can be a real buzz as these proven lures account for many of the above prized special.

These waters are the backyard of our local guide, Justin Gibbins, and he has had over ten years experience targeting the above.

The vessel, a custom built Javelin centre cabin sport fisher, is the ideal vessel for these waters. Powered by a 175hp Optimax Mercury outboard she will get you to the fishing locations quickly and safely.

Departing from the Marlin Marina at 7:00 am and returning 4:00pm, the full day charters offer spectacular light tackle sportfishing or reef fishing.

Custom Reef Fishing trips offer personalised attention from our experienced crew with the use of quality Shimano & Penn outfits to enhances the thrill of landing prime reef dwellers like coral trout, red emperor, spangled emperor, nannygai, reef jacks, mackerel and tuna (this is not hand line fishing).

Charter rates include all quality tackle, light refreshments, tea, coffee, soft drink and lunch on full day charters.
