Hichinbrook Channel

Join us for 3 days and 2 nights (or 2 days and 1 night) at Port Hinchinbrook and fish the waters surrounding Australia's largest island National Park. Situated almost half way between Cairns and Townsville (approx. 200kms south of Cairns), a leisurely 2 and a half hours drive. The island abounds in flora, fauna, palm fringed beaches and extensive mangrove lined waterways and the extensive flats and channel systems surrounding the Island and mainland proper is home to many prime tropical sportfish.

Fishing the intricate mangrove lined waterways with the majestic backdrop of Hinchinbrook Island is spectacular enough, but to be able to target quality barramundi, mangrove jacks, trevally, queenfish and fingermark in this pristine environment has special rewards

Accommodation

Accommodation is included at Ripples at Port Hinchinbrook. This recently completed property features modern tropical fully self contained holiday apartments, full kitchens with tea and coffee making facilities, air-conditioned, and up to three separate bedrooms to accommodate you and our guides in absolute comfort. Itinerary

Your charter commences with a complimentary morning pick up from your Cairns accommodation for a leisurely 2 ½ hour drive in a comfortable 4WD south to your base in Cardwell / Port Hinchinbrook. Drop your gear off and get into it - we could have you onto that big one by 10 am on Day 1!

From then on it's fishing and swapping yarns over a beer until we return to Cairns on the afternoon of the final day and drop you back at your Cairns accommodation in time for dinner.

This package includes all lure / fly fishing equipment on a replace if lost/broken basis, boat and expert guide, light refreshments, tea & coffee, soft drinks and lunch on charter as well as all your other meals whilst in Hinchinbrook, transfers and self contained accommodation. The cost does not include breakfast on day 1, alcohol, or phone calls from your motel room.

• Number of days can be amended to suit (conditional upon availability)
• Departs daily subject to availability, minimum numbers, and seasonal conditions
• Rates shown are based on a booking for 1or 2 people
• A maximum of three anglers per vessel is allowed, so please add A$100 per person per day to above rates if more than 3 people are coming along.
