Whether you are a recreational angler looking for a holiday that will combine the thrill of barramundi fishing with the chance to relax and unwind, or an experienced fisherman seeking non-stop action, then look no further than a NT fishing safari on Atlantic Princess.

This exciting charter operates ex Gove in East Arnhem Land - one of the last wilderness areas on earth! The Gove Peninsula is scenic with long white sandy beaches, azure waters and green vegetation. This is where the Gulf of Carpentaria meets the Arafura Sea, and the Islands surround the region are abundant with marine life and offers world class diving and fishing.

Our experienced guides offer local knowledge, individual tuition for the novice and the best fishing spots in the myriad bays and river systems.

The favored target for most anglers is the mighty barramundi but the area is also home to fantastic blue water light tackle sportfishing where prim targets include tuna, queen fish, mackerel, GT’s and coral trout while the creeks also offer jacks, fingermark (Golden snapper) and threadfin salmon.

For those keen to experience more than just fishing on their holiday, the Northern Territory offers spectacular scenery and a cultural diversity second to none.

Atlantic Princess also operates as a Mother Ship for marlin and game fishing on the Great Barrier Reef. Fishing and diving charters are also available and we are equipped with dive tanks and compressors.

The vessel will accommodate 6 guests in luxury (or 8 in comfort) in three cabins and price includes all food prepared by the onboard chef, boutique wines, basic spirits and beers of choice.

Getting there:

Daily flights connect to Gove via Darwin OR Cairns so check with your local travel agent or Qantas http://www.qantas.com.au . The flight takes approx. 1.45 hours.

What to Bring:

Don't forget to bring your HAT, SUNGLASSES, SANDSHOES (for rock fishing / beach walking) a bum bag or small backpack, lure box, Bushman insect repellent (cream), camera. Please note that we are fishing in a wilderness location.

The scenery is stunning, the fishing exciting and varied but we encourage sport fishing and catch and release practices.

Barra season $6,000 + GST per day (6 guests max)

Mother shipping marlin season $5,250 + GST per day

All food prepared by the onboard chef Boutique wines, basic spirits and beers of choice. All quality Shimano tackle supplied on replace if lost / broken basis 3 x 4.89m Stacer Barra Pro custom sport fishers & experienced guides. Charter is based on 6 nights / 7 days ex Gove

Terms And Conditions

• General Terms & Conditions apply
• All rates quoted are in Australian Dollars + GST, and valid to 31 December 2010
• Minimum and maximum numbers apply.
• Private charters are available for up to 8 persons.
• A 25% deposit is required at time of booking to confirm the charter
• Full payment is required at least 60 days prior to intended charter date
• Payment is accepted by cheque, Credit Card (fees apply) or direct bank deposit
• Cancellation conditions apply as follows:
• In the event that the Charterer decides to cancel there is no refund, however at the discretion of the Atlantic Princess, we may consider rescheduling the charter within that current season providing all parties are agreeable and available during that timeframe.
• In the event that Atlantic Princess cancels prior to, or at any time during the charter, due to breakdown or weather, monies will be refunded (or transferred) for any unused portion of the charter.
• Clients are strongly advised to take out Travel Insurance.
• Charters operate ex Gove (Nhulumbuy N.T.) during the months from April – August. (Note - during July when mornings can be “cool” by tropical standards, barramundi fishing can be quite until mid afternoon)
• Set 6 nights / 7 days charter are available, please check with us for availability
• Charter start dates are set to coincide with the best lunar callendar and tides for barra fishing.
• Charter itinerary may vary depending on prevailing weather & tidal conditions and is advised as a guide only.
