Half Day Charter: Reef Runner 1-8pax $1950
Our private charters also offer Catch, Cook and Snorkel options as well.

Your Cairns Reef Fishing experience begins at Cairns’ Marlin Marina. The boats are berthed at D Finger behind the Shangri La Hotel.

Cairns Reef Fishing take pride in giving their passengers an enjoyable, reef and deep sea fishing charter experience aboard their large, comfortable, fully equipped, purpose built fishing vessels, Aqua Cat (above) and Blue Whaler (top). CRF have been fishing these waters for over 20 years and have over 2000 GPS marks. They know where the fish are, and will put you on them.
CRF boats have a capacity to carry over 20 passengers, however, to improve your chance of a great catch on our share charters we keep passenger numbers between 6 & 12 on Blue Whaler and 6 & 14 on Aquacat.
Experienced Skippers and Deck Hands provide the best fishing charter trips in Cairns to the surrounding waters of the Great Barrier Reef, for any level of angler. These waters are internationally renowned as some of the most prolific fishing grounds in the world, so get set for some of the best fishing you will experience anywhere!
With years of commercial and offshore deep sea charter fishing experience behind the crew, they know where the fish are and will give you your best chance of landing your very own prize catch. A variety of fishing methods and equipment are used including trolling, live bait fishing, bottom fishing and drift fishing.
You don’t need to bring much of anything for this fishing trip, as they provide quality, well maintained fishing equipment, bottled drinking water and a delicious, full, fresh lunch of selected meats, salads, bread rolls and fresh slices fruit. CRF will clean and ice your fish and then bag them up ready for you to take home.
No matter the time of year, ideal weather, location and productive fishing grounds make the offshore reefs of Cairns the best destination for your next charter fishing trip.
THE VESSELS
The Aqua Cat is surveyed to carry up to 34 Passengers, however, for passenger comfort they cap the number to 14 on share charters. CRF will take up to 20 on sole charters but suggest that 15 is the most that can fish at once .She has a cruising speed of 14 knots and large spacious rear deck.
The Blue Whaler is surveyed to carry up to 24 passengers, however, for comfort they cap the number to 11 on share charters. CRF will take up to 15 on sole charters. The Blue Whaler recently underwent a full refit and boasts a new comfortable interior and improved rear deck space. She has a cruising speed of 14 knots and is very stable for her size.
