General Conditions
The travel arrangements, prices and details appearing on this Internet site, relevant e-mails, faxes, correspondence and replies, are provided and coordinated by All Angling Ventures (ABN 13 678 157 096) trading as Fishing Cairns, Fishing Cape York and the Charter Boat Centre Cairns.
All Angling Ventures has taken due care and responsibility to verify and check all information on our web site as at time of completion, however, as this information is supplied by relevant accommodation or tour/cruise operators, it accepts no responsibility for any inaccuracy or misdescription.
Sales of services as contained in this publication are made by All Angling Ventures, trading as Fishing Cairns only as an agent for the person, business or company providing the relative services and no responsibility is accepted for variations in price or services mentioned.
All Angling Ventures does not accept any liability of whatever nature for acts, omissions or default, whether negligent or otherwise, of those service providers in connection with any bookings. We do not accept liability in contract or tort for any injury, damage, loss, delay, additional expense or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by force majeure or other events which are beyond our control.
Rates And Prices
All rates and prices have been advised to us by the supplier and are however subject to change without notice. Accommodation costs are for room only unless specified and does not include transfers.
All costs are shown in Australian Dollars unless otherwise specified.
Every effort is made to ensure that current rates are shown, however in cases where rates shown are clearly out of date, they should be treated as indicative only.
Quotations
All quotations are subject to availability of services quoted and are not guaranteed until the booking is confirmed and a deposit received.
Deposits And Confirmations
To secure any charter we will need to process a minimum deposit at the time of booking, and balance payable in full two weeks prior to departure date. Deposit only to us and your balance payable on the day, this can be confirmed, however, all depending on the operators terms. If paying a deposit only, we will hold your credit card as security for the final payment due. Direct debit, PayPal and secure Credit Card payments options are available.
Most game fishing, reef fishing charter, extended tour operators, and live-aboard cruises require full payment at least seven days prior to intended charter date, and in some instances require full payment at time of booking confirmation. Individual requirements will be advised to you at the time of booking.
Payments
Payments can be made by credit card over the phone, or via our secure payment web page, where you can pay via Direct Debit, PayPal or credit card. By prior arrangements funds may also be deposited directly into our Bank trust account. NOTE: Surcharge fees do apply to American Express, & All International Credit Cards
Cancellations
Standard Cancellation Policy: In the majority of cases, if you cancel or terminate your booking 30 days or more prior to commencement of your holiday / tour no cancellation fee applies.
All bookings cancelled inside 7 days incur supplier imposed cancellation fees which in the case of fishing and extended charter operators, can be as high as 100% of monies paid.
The amount of cancellation fees charged will be deducted from any monies received before a refund is made. We strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance.
Accommodation
Check In / Check Out Times: These vary according to operator. Generally your accommodation check in is between 10am and 1pm. Check out is usually 10am.
Tours And Cruises
Booking Conditions: All extended charter operators, dive vessels, live-aboard, cruise and game fishing operators have different and extensive conditions of booking, payment and cancellation.
Any operator imposed requirements that are not covered by the above standard conditions will be advised to you at the time of booking confirmation.
Itineraries: Due to the nature of these tours / cruises and extended charters, operators reserve the right to alter itineraries at any time as a result of fire, flood, extreme weather conditions or any other circumstance beyond their control.
Refunds: No refunds will be made for availed services once travel arrangements have commenced. Any refund claim will be subject to a minimum of $50 per booking processing fee. No guarantee is provided or warranted that any refund will be available. All refund requests must be in writing, and made direct to us. Claims must be made within 30 days of completion of travel arrangements.
It is extremely important that you take out travel insurance. Your travel agent or airline can provide this for you. Please ensure this insurance covers you for involuntary cancellation.
Tackle
In most cases quality fishing tackle is provided by the various charter operators on a “replace if lost / damages / broken basis”. This is standard procedure around the globe and all clients need to be aware that it is the responsibility of the various charter operators to seek remedy in this regard should the unforeseeable happen and damage occur. Fishing Cairns accepts no responsibility in this matter and all negotiation is between the client and service provider.
On extended charter trips to remote Cape York locations, various operators may require clients to provide their own tackle (or part thereof) and this will be advised to you at the time. Specific Fly Fishing charters may also require anglers to provide their own fly rods and line.
